Job summary

Miller Pipeline in Ocala, Florida is seeking hard-working Laborers to join our gas distribution crews. You will assist in repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe as part of our field teams. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; outdoor labor experience preferred.

A valid driving record, ability to pass a DOT physical, and readiness to work in a team are required. We offer competitive wages and safety-focused training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education.
• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Clean driving record and a DOT physical (reimbursed upon hire).
• Must pass computer-based testing, local operator qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
• Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.
