Job summary

UGI Utilities, Inc is seeking a Meter Reader to cover residential and commercial routes, reading meters and documenting readings with handheld devices. The role includes interacting with customers to gain access and answer questions while performing routine meter inspections and collections work.

A company vehicle is provided. Applicants must have a High School Diploma, a PA driver’s license, valid safety and mechanical basics, and pass pre-employment drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and physical.
• Valid PA Driver’s License required.
• Ability to walk and drive routes daily in all weather.
• Ability to read maps and service records.

Responsibilities

• Reading meters and recording readings using handheld computers.
• Complete routine meter work and inspections.
• Perform collections, CWIPs, rereads, and many other miscellaneous orders, etc.
• Perform other duties as requested.
