Job summary

Bermex, Inc. is seeking a Meter Reader to read meters and inspect gas, electric, and/or water meters on customer premises. The role involves extensive walking outdoors, adherence to schedules, and reporting meter issues to supervisors.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of outdoor work experience, a valid driver's license, and strong time management. Training is provided. Salary is $18 per hour with full-time benefits and company vehicle where applicable.

Qualifications

• Some high school education; must be 18+.
• 1 year of outdoor work experience; meter reading training provided.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Read meters daily or on special service orders.
• Inspect meters and report faults to supervisor.
• Walk long distances in various weather; up to 20 miles/day.
• Communicate with customers; refer complaints when needed.
• Assist with training of new meter readers.
