Diamondback Energy, Inc. is seeking a Gas Measurement Technician I in Midland, TX to ensure the accuracy of gas measurement equipment.

You will install, maintain, monitor, and analyze production and sales measurement data, supporting field operations with measurement activities and calibration. The role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years of oil and gas experience, with the ability to travel to field sites and work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of oil and gas experience.
• Understand test vessels, piping, meters and O&G operations.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and learning company applications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of gas measurement equipment and data integrity.
• Install, maintain, monitor, and analyze production and sales measurement data.
• In-field measurement support and calibration activities.
• Troubleshoot data issues and input corrected data promptly.
• Travel to field locations and work non-traditional hours as needed.

This career site is for external applicants only.**The Gas Measurement Technician I has the responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of gas measurement equipment. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, monitoring, analyzing, optimizing, and ensuring data integrity for production and sales measurement equipment.**Job Duties and Responsibilities:***Include but are not limited to** Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures* Support Measurement supervisor and production foreman with in-field measurement and applications per company policies and industry standards* Collect electronic flow measurement (EFM) data* Install and configure (EFM) hardware and software* Install/calibrate electronic transducers and automated valve equipment* Monitor and analyze production and sales meter data daily and troubleshoot upset conditions as needed* Contact appropriate personnel for measurement inaccuracies and ensure corrected data is input appropriately* Review measurement design and work with Engineering to ensure construction projects utilize field-friendly, accurate measurement* Respond to corrective work orders in a timely fashion and track results and all costs through Diamondback systems* Vacation relief for Measurement Tech’s / Supervisor* Work non-traditional and on-call hours, as needed (nights, weekends, etc.)* Frequent travel to field locations training sites**Required Qualifications:*** High School Diploma or equivalent* Minimum of (2+) years of oil and gas experience* Understanding of test vessels, piping, meters and O&G operations* Demonstrated ability to perform basic computer skills and to learn company-specific applications* Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license* Able to meet insurability standards to drive a company vehicle**Preferred Qualifications:*** Knowledge of a variety of EFM equipment: ABB, ROC, Fox Thermal, Scadapack* Knowledge of software: PCCU, Emerson Field tools, Realflo, FT4X View* Ability to communicate effectively among various teamsDiamondback is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
