Job summary

MRC Global seeks a Supply Chain professional to deliver technical support to internal and external customers, manage vendor relationships, and develop costing and sourcing strategies for gas distribution materials.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and gas materials, plus at least five years of industry experience, with demonstrated knowledge of gas utility material specifications and supplier negotiations. Expect onsite collaboration and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work / industry experience in engineering and gas materials.
• At least 5 years of experience in support of gas distribution utility materials.
• Must have demonstrated product knowledge as it relates to gas distribution materials specifications, specifically gas utility material.
• Any combination of five or more years in customer service, inside sales and/or warehouse services in a position with increasing responsibility, to include demonstrated leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage key vendor relationships.
• Interact with key end user gas utility customers.
• Provide technical support to Operations, Marketing, and Sales regarding specification of gas distribution materials; meters, regulators, risers, prefabricated meter sets, PE Pipe, PE fittings, etc.
