Job summary

CarbonBetter is offering a 10-week Operations Analyst Internship designed to immerse you in the physical natural gas market. You will learn how gas is bought, sold, and moved across North America, and apply that knowledge to a live project that helps our traders and schedulers operate more effectively.

The program includes direct mentorship from experienced traders and operations professionals, exposure to decision-making processes, and a pathway to full-time opportunities after graduation based

Qualifications

• Currently a junior graduating in spring 2028, pursuing relevant degrees
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Genuine interest in energy markets, commodities, and market dynamics

Responsibilities

• Build a working understanding of the physical gas market (pipes, hubs, contracts, tariffs, nominations, settlements)
• Understand how trades unfold from price discovery to delivery on a trading desk
• Contribute to a real project that supports traders and schedulers and present results to leadership
