Job summary

Hydromax USA is seeking a Gas Leak Survey Technician (Tech 1) in the Atlanta area. You will inspect natural gas infrastructure with detection equipment, working outdoors in all weather, and collaborating with local utility operators to ensure public safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to walk several miles daily while carrying gear. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have prior Gas Leak Survey Experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Proficient with technology, including smartphones, tablets, and mapping/GIS software.
• Physical stamina to walk up to 5 miles per day across varied terrain while carrying 25 lbs of equipment.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; DOT random testing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Detect and evaluate leaks on natural gas systems using specialized detection equipment.
• Classify leaks according to company and contractual guidelines.
• Enter field data into handheld devices and maintain survey records.
• Immediately report abnormal operating conditions and hazardous leaks to the utility operator.
• Act as a professional representative of the utility and communicate safety information to customers.
• Ensure survey equipment is calibrated and maintained.
