Job summary

Peoples Gas System in Florida is seeking a Leakage Survey Technician (N Miami) to perform area leakage surveys and leak investigations using electronic and manual testing equipment. The role requires outdoor work, travel to divisions across the state, and compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, a valid Florida driver’s license, and at least 1 year of natural gas operations experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record; CDL may be required for certain positions.
• 1 year of natural gas operations experience.
• Ability to read maps and operate a computer and basic tools.
• Ability to perform basic math and follow complex instructions.
• Knowledge of relevant pipeline regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs leakage surveys on mains using a leakage survey vehicle.
• Conducts walking leakage surveys on services and mains with various survey methods and equipment.
• Performs leak investigations to locate and classify leaks and completes paperwork.
