Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Appleton, WI, seeks a Staff Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls with the PM team, ensuring deliverables stay on budget and schedule. You will set up projects in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software, develop and maintain schedules, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts across multiple projects, and coordinate with accounting and procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 3 years direct project controls experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls processes with the internal project management team to manage budget and schedule.
• Set up projects in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
• Analyze data, review logs, and run reports in the ERP/controls software.
• Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and develop schedules.
• Develop, implement, and maintain scheduling, cost reports, cash flows and forecasts for multiple projects.
• Coordinate with PM and Accounting to review project costs and contingency costs.
• Approve Purchase Orders and/or Subcontracts for proper coding.
• Perform field audits to validate reporting and processes.
• Develop and present cash flow reports and various schedules.
• Support IPPM and provide timely project control insights.
• Maintain earned value management and progress measurement.
