Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking candidates for apprentice or journey level positions to install, maintain and operate natural gas mains and services. You will perform safety checks, facilitate meter installation, and help with regulator stations and odorizer equipment, ensuring reliable gas service for customers.

Travel and on-site work at various training centers and Knoxville operations; CDL may be required; strong teamwork and public safety mindset essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and power tools safely.
• Good reading and math comprehension; attention to safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and operate natural gas mains and services.
• Perform safety checks and respond to gas emergencies as trained.
• Fabricate and install gas system facilities and meters.
• Tap and stop mains and services; install connectors and regulators.
• Inspect lines, locate underground facilities and document work.
