Job summary

Peak Utility Services Group seeks a Gas Fuser to install natural gas distribution systems for new construction subdivisions. You will fuse and weld pipes, ensure safe operation of equipment, and coordinate with crews on site.

The role requires 2-3 years in gas distribution or related construction, and CDL Class A with tanker endorsement is preferred. Travel about 10% of the time may be necessary.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in the construction, underground or gas distribution industry.
• Poly Gas Fuser experience is a huge plus.
• 2-3 years of experience with fusing/welding methods and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Install new plastic PVC & steel gas main services.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment by welding, brazing, soldering, etc.
• Inspect, test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges and other methods.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, and repairs per blueprints.
• Drive commercial vehicles to transport materials and equipment.
• Ensure the truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance.
• Signal equipment operators to guide alignment and movement of machinery.
• Work safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and dump trucks.
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately.
• Commit to safety in all work.
