Job summary

MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking a Distribution Specialist – Gas to support the gas operations team with administrative tasks, process development and compliance activities. You will train administrative personnel and own tasks for claims, mapping corrections and other operations support functions.

The role requires an associate degree and at least two years of related experience, strong communication and MS Office skills, and the ability to manage multiple duties in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business or related field; typically 3 years of related experience if no degree.
• Two or more years of related work experience.
• Effective communication (listening, oral and written) to process information.
• Proficiency with personal computer skills and Microsoft Office.
• Interpersonal skills, customer-service focus and teamwork ability.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain information using department software; complete WMIS and CD Claims orders, CSS orders for gas service, and as‑builts and documentation in P8.
• Perform labor and vendor reclassifications for gas operations; coordinate claims submittal and monitor progress.
• Support audits and generate reports using IT resources (WMIS, Oracle, Maximo, Gas Leak, MCIS).
• Assist in gas operations, restoration activities and contractor management; support data sources and process improvements.
• Provide administrative support to staff including time entry, payroll corrections and overtime data; assist with procurement and invoice payments.
