Job summary

CenterPoint Energy seeks a field operations helper to support installation, repair, construction and maintenance of gas distribution systems. You will work on steel and plastic pipe projects, and participate in safety practices while serving customers and communities.

Responsibilities include locating gas lines, handling heavy equipment, and responding to routine and emergency calls. Requires 0-2 years in related work and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of relevant construction, installation and maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair or replace steel/plastic pipes.
• Provide First Responder assistance in emergencies.
• Locate gas lines.
• Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies from trucks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
