Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a capable auto mechanic to diagnose issues and perform repairs on gasoline and diesel vehicles. The role includes routine maintenance, repairing parts, and maintaining clear logs, while following safety policies and liaising with drivers and clients to determine requirements.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, on-site in Hartford, VT, with competitive hourly pay and opportunities to ensure safe and reliable transportation for the communities

Qualifications

• One year of mechanic experience required.
• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues with gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and complete repairs.
• Communicate with drivers about concerns and perform routine maintenance.
• Replace parts to ensure proper vehicle function.
• Prepare quotes and work estimates as requested.
• Maintain an accurate log of all work performed.
• Adhere to company safety policies.

Responsibility Profile

• Responsible for diagnosing issues with gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and completing repairs to keep them safe and reliable.
• This role includes communicating with drivers about concerns, performing routine maintenance, and replacing parts to ensure proper vehicle function.
• Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues.
• Liaise with clients and drivers to determine their automotive requirements and communicate vehicular defects or problems.
• Provide routine inspections of vehicles and inform clients of any issues.
• Prepare quotes and work estimates as requested.
• Keep an accurate log of all work performed.
• Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
• Adhere to company work safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift

Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Pay range

$25-$30 p/h depending on experience.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of mechanic experience.
• High school diploma.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
