Job summary

Nexair in Knoxville, TN seeks a Safety-conscious forklift operator to handle compressed gas cylinders on a daily basis. You will load/unload, move with a forklift, and assist with inventory while ensuring proper labeling and safety standards are followed.

The role requires physical strength, ability to work outdoors/indoors in all weather, and flexibility to start within 2–3 hours of scheduled times. Prior manufacturing or forklift experience is preferred, and the position is full-time and

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED is required.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to roll 200+ lb cylinders and lift 50 lbs.
• 1+ years manufacturing or plant experience preferred; forklift experience preferred.
• Able to work in indoor and outdoor conditions year-round.
• Able to work flexible hours (2-3 hours from start and end times).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload compressed gas cylinders onto/off route trucks and trailers.
• Roll cylinders and operate a forklift for movement of cylinders.
• Sort empty cylinders by type and assist with inventory.
• Review customer orders, pull items from inventory, and load onto trucks for delivery.
• Perform basic cylinder maintenance such as painting, labeling, and cleaning the work area.
