Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Foreman to lead gas maintenance and construction across our Iowa operations. You will model safety, coach crews, and supervise the execution of distribution and transmission projects required to deliver reliable service to homes and businesses.

The role requires Journey Level Gas Mechanic status, a valid CDL, and the ability to adhere to DOT drug and alcohol requirements. You will manage resources, uphold union standards, and drive safety culture daily.

Qualifications

• Must be a Journey Level Gas Mechanic.
• Valid CDL qualification and ability to meet DOT drug/alcohol testing requirements.
• Knowledge of gas pipelines and safety rules/practices.
• Able to report to work fit for duty and free from drug/alcohol effects.
• Knowledge of union contract language.

Point out and correct at-risk behavior.Advise supervisor when employee continually fails to follow safety rules, work in a safe manner, or use proper tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and equipment.Promote teamwork to improve safety and productivity.Responsible for the productivity of employees under their supervision.
