Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation in Franklin, TN seeks a Gas Control Operator to monitor and regulate gas flow using SCADA systems, review data, and respond to alarms. This role requires effective communication, basic numeric and computer skills, and the ability to work shifts in a 24/7 environment.

The incumbent will maintain records, prepare reports, and comply with DOT/PHMSA regulations while ensuring safe, reliable gas service for customers.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate with internal and external customers about technical concepts.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and controls gas flow to stay within allocation guidelines.
• Operates SCADA systems to review data and adjust metering station gas flow and pressures.
• Monitors and operates compressor stations and storage fields.
• Responds to SCADA alarms and coordinates corrective actions with field personnel.
• Maintains records of operating conditions and unusual activities.
