Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Tech Services Analyst to support operations with high-end troubleshooting of natural gas compressors. You will gather data, run investigations, and assist with installations while maintaining safety standards across various sites.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, technical certification, and 6+ years of related experience, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Technical school certification, college preferred.
• 6 or more years related experience and/or training.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude, critical thinking and decision-making skills to balance customer needs with cost.
• Strong verbal and written communication for field level interactions.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
• Customer management skills to maintain confidence.
• Read and understand P&ID and electrical drawings.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Read, understand, analyze, and apply technical manuals.
• Experience interpreting diverse technical instructions.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet and inventory tracking software.

Responsibilities

• Follow and observe all safety and environmental policies.
• Assist with high-end troubleshooting and complex repairs of natural gas compressors to minimize downtime.
• Analyze repetitive occurrences and provide technical solutions to reduce costs.
• Engage in project work for company and customer in a team environment.
• Accurately gather and prepare data for reports critical to equipment health.
• Conduct investigations for root cause failure of compression equipment by due date.
• Perform installation and commissioning of new and existing equipment.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers.
• Write technical reports and articles for inter-company publication.
• Coach and train field service technicians.
• Perform emissions compliance testing using EPA Reference Methods.
• Collect site data for emissions test reports.
• Oversee and provide technical support for emissions compliance.
• Work with sales to identify opportunities and communicate with customers.
