Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking an experienced gas trader in Denver to support direct gas buying and trading activities. The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 3 years in the natural gas industry.

You will negotiate high-dollar transactions, leverage hedging instruments, and work within interstate pipelines and FERC-regulated contracts. The schedule is 6am-3pm with rotation including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 3+ years in natural gas industry.
• Knowledge of gas markets, interstate pipeline networks, contracts and FERC regulations.
• Ability to independently negotiate high-dollar transactions.
• Direct gas buying/trading experience and comfort with hedging instruments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years of natural gas industry experience is required.
• Understanding of gas markets, the interstate pipeline networks, gas transportation & storage contracts, FERC regulations, and negotiation strategies is required.
• Must be able to independently negotiate high dollar transactions.
• Previous experience in direct gas buying/trading including the use of financial hedging instruments or gas transportation-scheduler analyst.
• Hours will be 6am-3pm including holiday and weekend rotational coverage.
