About the role:
In order to efficiently scale and continue to delight customers, Gartner is investing in ‘Research Analyst Lab’ located in our Gurgaon Center of Excellence. Analysts on this exciting team will be aligned with Gartner’s most visionary experts to directly help clients by writing research and delivering compelling interactions.

As an Associate Principal Research Analyst aligned with the IT FEVER Team you will help clients communicate value from their technology investments (i.e. cybersecurity, cloud, digital capabilities) via their performance dashboards, KPIs and metrics. Delivering advice, and guidance to our research and advisory clients through published research, conversations with clients (Inquiry), teleconferences, and client meetings.

What you’ll do:
Conduct research and analysis for the IT Finance, Economics, Value and Risk team covering Business value of IT, Cybersecurity investments, Performance dashboards and KPIs. Specifically, to research the ways in which organizations optimize their financial performance through deploying technology solutions and the way these investments can be better communicated to the C-Suite meeting solutions. Research the KPI’s/metrics used to monitor and improve this performance across both the IT function and the enterprise.

The research and advice is focused on helping CIOs and IT leaders execute on their financial challenges and help the business meet its objectives.

Develop a vision on how Digital is changing the nature of business models and financial performance of organizations, how the CIO/IT plays a part in this and how technologies such as cloud, A.I., Blockchain, machine learning, chatbots etc could play a part in helping change the organization’s cost structure.

Respond to client questions and deliver high quality actionable advice through a variety of media and delivery methods including teleconference and video conference.

Write high quality, clear, actionable, advisory research documents on defined topics adhering to assigned timelines and deadlines.

Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these assigned research areas, through individually motivated research activities and peer collaboration with your colleagues around your domain and adjacent areas.

Proactively work with the wider sales and service organization and deliver outstanding sales support to retain and grow the business.

Actively participate in research community meetings as needed to discuss research issues and collaborate effectively with peers.

What you’ll need:
Graduate + MBA from leading A & B-schools (BE/B.Tech from Grade A engineering colleges will be added advantage).

3+ years’ experience working within a strategic decision-making unit or in a related discipline.

Excellent knowledge in creating and communicating performance through use of dashboards, KPIs and any other performance measures.

Excellent ability to create “must have” graphics to communicate ideas and concepts to clients.

Excellent ability to generate insights from unstructured client data.

Financially literate graduate who has experience in interpreting and explaining variances to budget/financial plans.

Ambitious, eager to learn about new technologies both inside and outside their field of expertise and willing to keep their finger on the pulse of the changing IT landscape to meet the demands of our customers.
