Champion Personnel is seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to fit, alter, mend, and customize garments according to customer measurements and order requirements. You will work with various fabrics and patterns to ensure precise results.

Responsibilities include performing standard alterations, applying patches and embellishments, and safely operating industrial sewing equipment while maintaining quality finishes.

Qualifications

• Experience in fitting, altering, mending, and customizing garments to customer measurements.
• Ability to measure items accurately and determine adjustments for proper fit.
• Familiarity with operating industrial sewing equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard alterations (hemming, tapering, waist adjustments, sleeve shortening) and general repairs (zipper replacement, patching, replacing hardware).
• Apply patches, trims, badges, and custom embellishments following precise guidelines and placement instructions.
• Measure items accurately and determine necessary adjustments for a proper, comfortable fit.
• Safely operate and maintain industrial sewing equipment (single/double needle, blind stitch, overlock, etc.).
• Inspect completed garments to ensure high craftsmanship, correct measurements, and clean finishes before final delivery.
• Keep the sewing area organized and perform basic routine maintenance on machinery.
