Job summary

Harborview Medical Center in Seattle is seeking a Gardener 2 to join its skilled trades and facilities team. This full-time role supports campus vegetation, irrigation, and grounds maintenance to keep our campus safe, welcoming, and environmentally sustainable.

You will maintain planting, operate irrigation systems, perform weed control, and help with cleanup and winter snow tasks. A valid Washington driver's license and prior grounds maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of experience or training in grounds maintenance or landscape care.
• May require valid State of Washington driver’s license.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plants and manage weeds through Integrated Pest Management.
• Operate, maintain, and repair irrigation systems and clocks.
• Maintain campus waste including trash, recycling, pallets and other waste.
• Clean hard surface areas; perform litter, biohazard, graffiti removal; pressure wash; snow/ice removal.
• Prune trees, shrubs, vines, and perennials for health and form; plant and transplant as needed.
• Use hand and power implements and operate power equipment.
