Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. in Los Angeles seeks a Gardener who can communicate in Spanish and is eager to learn English, to maintain lawns, plantings and garden features across our property.

You will perform routine lawn care and landscape upkeep to keep grounds healthy and vibrant. The ideal candidate has SGI Technical/Horticultural Skill Training Levels I & II, will apply fertilizers, prune trees and shrubs safely, weed control, and supervise repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• The Gardener must communicate well in Spanish and be willing to learn English.
• Pass SGI Technical/Horticultural Skill Training Tests Level I & II.
• Be able to learn aesthetic and safety pruning of trees and plants.
• Perform a range of general lawn maintenance duties including applying fertilizers, maintaining landscape design, removing weeds and dead plants, and supervising repairs.
• As the landscaper, ensure the growth and vibrancy of our plants, flowers, lawn, and garden structures.
• Creative with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

Job description

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

The Gardener must have the ability to communicate well in Spanish and be willing to learn to communicate in English. Gardeners must successfully pass the SGI Technical/Horticultural Skill Training Tests Level I & II. The Gardener must also be able to begin learning aesthetic and safety pruning of trees and plants. You will perform a range of general lawn maintenance duties including applying fertilizers, maintaining the landscape design, removing weeds and dead plants, and supervising repairs. As the landscaper, you will ensure the growth and vibrancy of our plants, flowers, lawn, and garden structures. The ideal candidate will be creative and have excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Hearing: Adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Speaking: Adequate to perform the essential functions of the job, such as clearly communicating with multiple personnel.
