Moody Gardens is seeking a friendly Server Assistant to provide attentive and timely service in a fast-paced restaurant environment in Galveston, TX. You will assist servers, prepare tables, refill beverages, and support guests to ensure an exceptional dining experience.

This entry-level role requires no prior experience, but you must obtain TABC and Food Handlers Certification before starting. The position pays $8.50 per hour and is temporary, with shifts available across days and evenings.

Qualifications

• Must obtain TABC & Food Handlers Certification prior to beginning work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a guest-focused service experience.
• Prepare tables by laying out napkins and utensils and refilling condiments.
• Pre-bus tables and handle side work per station.
• Deliver items, replenish utensils, and refill glasses.
• Answer questions about food/beverages and restaurant functions.
• Process payments and operate the POS system.
• Thank guests and invite return visits.
• Attend scheduled meetings and contribute improvement ideas.
