Job summary

ELSO, Inc. in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Contract-Operations Assistant to support the Hub with garden maintenance and landscape tasks, plus basic facility upkeep. The role requires the ability to operate lawn equipment and perform manual labor on a weekly schedule.

You will work closely with the Master Gardener and Program Director to maintain the Children's Ancestral Garden and learning spaces, applying carpentry and maintenance skills as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years in landscaping or groundskeeping.
• Experience with garden and lawn maintenance.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Build maintenance, garden and landscape support; manage grounds weekly.
• Utilize basic pesticide application to control pests.
• Create schedules for ground maintenance and coordinate supplies.
• Water indoor plants and sanitize facilities weekly.
• Secure tools, monitor site safety, and ensure cameras and gates are functional.
• Assist Master Gardener with Children's Ancestral Garden tasks and greenhouse upkeep.
• Coordinate material deliveries and organize storage shed tools.
