McLendon Hardware Puyallup is seeking a temporary part-time Garden Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service in our home improvement department. You will listen to customer needs, recommend products, and assist with sales counter tasks in a friendly, fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include stocking, merchandising, loading assistance, and maintaining a clean sales area while delivering accurate product information and price lookups.

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or customer service experience.
• Strong math, reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Basic knowledge of lumber, building materials, or hardware merchandise.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb a ladder.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by listening to customers and recommending products.
• Assist with sales counter functions, including orders and price lookups.
• Stock shelves and merchandise products per planograms.
• Assist customers with loading items at checkout.
• Maintain clean, organized sales area and greet customers.
