THE JOB:

Join the exciting culinary team at MGM Springfield as a Garde Manger Cook, where you'll be instrumental in mass food preparation, managing inventory, and beautifully plating dishes for our buffets and banquets, all while working alongside our esteemed Chef. Your skills will help create unforgettable culinary experiences for our guests!

STARTING RATE:$21.30 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques
  • Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
  • Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
  • Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
  • Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
  • Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Will be working in a cold kitchen
  • Knowledgeable of restaurant operations, such as opening/closing procedures, food cost awareness, and ordering food products
  • Knowledge of food and beverage products, including preparation methods/times, major ingredients, quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and method presentation
  • Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Can work varied shifts, to include weekend and holidays
