Garage Manager for Diesel Tractor/Trailer Repair and Maintenance Facility

Markare Services is seeking a Garage Manager for our Buffalo, WV location. We are currently operating in a temporary location until our new state-of-the-art facility opens in fall 2025. Our company specializes in tractor and trailer maintenance and repair, committed to providing high-quality services that exceed industry standards.

Our Garage Managers are responsible for:

  1. Adhering to safety standards for employees and equipment
  2. Handling the recall process of parts
  3. Assigning work to mechanics
  4. Communicating with operations and customers to ensure equipment availability
  5. Training mechanics in current and new technology
  6. Ensuring high-quality work by mechanics
  7. Developing, tracking, and reporting on projects
  8. Managing assets, inventory, warranties, and special projects
  9. Providing reports to directors as needed

Knowledge and skills required include:

  1. At least 5 years of hands-on diesel maintenance and repair experience
  2. Knowledge of industry-standard tools
  3. Leadership and management skills
  4. Knowledge of DOT maintenance standards
  5. Proficiency with computers and software programs
