Job summary

OGD Overhead Garage Door is seeking independent contractors to join our team as Residential Garage Door Technicians in the Montgomery area. This 1099 contractor role covers repair, installation, and maintenance for residential customers, with a focus on customer service and professionalism.

No prior garage door experience is required — training is provided. You’ll be paid weekly with uncapped commissions and receive initial hardware and tools from the company to start.

Qualifications

• Must own a pickup truck that is 20 years old or newer.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and climbing ladders.
• Commitment to a 10-day onboarding program at our training center in Fort Worth, TX

Responsibilities

• Perform residential garage door repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose customer concerns and provide effective solutions in a professional manner
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Maintain a high level of customer service throughout each job
• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and ladders up to 8 feet
• Remove and haul away old garage doors and equipment
• Maintain accurate job documentation and work order updates

Compensation & Contractor Information:

• 1099 independent contractor position

$1,200 - $1,700 a week
