Our shop is located in Katy, but we serve the greater Houston area and all of Texas with our commercial work. We’re a friendly and supportive team that works together to deliver exceptional customer service. As a Service Technician, you’ll meet with customers, diagnose their garage door or opener issues, present repair options, close the sale, and complete the work. You’ll interact with customers daily, so excellent customer service skills are a must. Responsibilities

• Assess garage door/opener issues to determine appropriate resolutions
• Discuss in detail your discoveries with the customer
• Build customer rapport to build customer confidence
• Perform repairs/installs with attention to detail
• Regularly stock the truck
• Assist in stock procurement in the warehouse
• Participate in regular meetings and training
• Continually expand tech knowledge and skill base
• Utilize software for all company transactions
• Calculate installation openings and perform site inspections
• Keep all appointments and arrive at the customer’s specified time

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of garage door experience is required; commercial experience is a plus but not required
• Sales experience – able to handle objections to convert the sale
• Excellent communication skills – explain details to customers as well as the team/manager/office
• Rapport builder – people think you are friendly, outgoing, and easy to talk to
• Teachable – must be teachable, eager, and able to learn and implement new processes
• Tech‑friendly – easily reachable by text/call during and outside business hours, adaptable to learning new software
• Professional – conduct yourself professionally in appearance, attire, language, and attitude
