Job summary

OGD Overhead Garage Door is seeking motivated independent contractors to join our team as Residential Garage Door Technicians. This 1099 contractor role offers weekly pay and uncapped commission potential, with initial hardware and tools provided and paid training available.

Must own a pickup truck (≤20 years old) and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Comprehensive onboarding at our Fort Worth, TX facility is required.

Qualifications

• Own a pickup truck 20 years old or newer.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; able to work in the designated market area.
• Willing to complete a 10-day onboarding program at the Fort Worth, TX training center.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential garage door repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose customer concerns and provide effective solutions in a professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
• Maintain a high level of customer service throughout each job.
• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
• Operate hand tools and power tools up to 8 feet.
• Remove and haul away old garage doors and equipment.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and work orders.

OGD Overhead Garage Door is seeking motivated and dependable independent contractors to join our team as Residential Garage Door Technicians. In this 1099 contractor role, you will provide garage door repair, installation, and maintenance services for residential customers while delivering a high level of customer service and professionalism.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and interested in building a flexible, performance-driven career.
No prior garage door experience is required — training is provided.
