Job summary

Overhead Door is seeking an installer to handle professional installation, maintenance, and repair of residential garage doors, openers, and related equipment. You will assess site conditions, install and service systems, and ensure safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include documenting scope, communicating with sales and scheduling, and maintaining accurate records while working across various sites. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Able to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills; read a tape measure and convert measurements.
• Willingness to learn products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess residential garage door installation and service requirements by evaluating site conditions and equipment needs.
• Document full scope of work and communicate for approval.
• Install residential garage doors, openers, springs, tracks, cables, hinges, locks and related hardware per specs.
• Perform service and diagnostic work on garage door systems (rolling steel doors, torsion springs, dock equipment).
• Complete minor framing and construction adjustments to support installations.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain detailed records of work, materials, and job status.
• Load/unload and prepare tools and materials; keep vehicles and sites clean and organized.
