Job summary

Mr. Spring Garage Doors in Minnesota is hiring installers to fit and upgrade residential garage doors and smart opener systems. You’ll start each day with the company truck and travel to local homes to install, diagnose, and test equipment, while guiding customers through new gear.

Daily Responsibilities:

You’ll start your day grabbing your company truck and heading out to help local homeowners. On any given day, you will:

• Install & Upgrade: Fit brand-new, high-quality garage doors and smart opener systems for residential clients.
• Problem Solve: Diagnose mechanical issues, replace worn parts (springs, cables, sections), and test equipment to ensure it runs flawlessly.
• Connect with Customers: Guide homeowners through their new equipment, recommend upgraded parts to enhance their home’s safety, and handle payments.
• Be Meticulous: Take pride in clean wiring, precise alignments, and leaving the job site cleaner than you found it.

What We’re Looking For:

You don't need a fancy resume, but you do need the following:

• Mechanical Aptitude: You’re comfortable using standard hand and power tools (drills, hammers, tape measures).
• Physical Grit: You can safely lift and carry 75+ pounds, comfortably stand on ladders, and don't mind working in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
• People Skills: You are polite, respectful, and genuinely enjoy talking to customers and helping them solve problems.
• A Clean Driving Record: A valid driver’s license and a safe driving history are required to drive our company trucks.
• Reliability: You show up on time, take pride in your work, and are willing to work flexible hours (including weekends/evenings) to get the job done.
• The Basics: High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred; must pass a pre-employment background check.
