Job summary

USER FRIENDLY HOME SERVICES LLC seeks an experienced installer/technician to hang and install garage doors, perform repairs, and interpret blueprints for accurate execution of plans. The role requires welding and fabrication for custom components, plus safe operation of heavy equipment on site.

The ideal candidate reads schematics, understands door systems (springs, tracks, rollers, openers) and can work with electrical elements where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction/remodeling with door installation or fixture hanging.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and welding equipment.
• Knowledge of garage door components (springs, tracks, rollers, openers)
• Experience with blueprint reading and fabrication techniques for custom projects.
• Knowledge of electrical systems related to garage door openers or security features is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install new garage doors, hanging doors and attaching hardware with proper alignment.
• Perform repairs on garage doors including springs, damaged panels and openers.
• Read schematics to execute installation plans accurately.
• Conduct welding and metal fabrication for custom components or reinforcements.
• Operate heavy machinery and lift heavy materials safely on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Install new garage doors, including hanging doors, attaching hardware, and ensuring proper alignment using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
• Perform repairs on existing garage doors, addressing issues such as broken springs, damaged panels, or faulty openers
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans
• Conduct welding and metal fabrication as needed for custom door components or reinforcement projects
• Utilize construction site experience to safely operate heavy machinery, lift heavy materials, and adhere to safety protocols
• Complete fixture installation, lock systems, electrical wiring (where applicable), and trim carpentry for seamless finishes
• Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects involving metal stud framing, cabinetry, or electrical upgrades related to garage door systems

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction or remodeling environments with a focus on door hanging or fixture installation
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to garage door components such as springs, tracks, rollers, and openers
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on job sites
• Skilled in glass installation (for certain door types), caulking, locksmithing or lock installation is a plus
• Experience with blueprint reading and fabrication techniques for custom projects
• Knowledge of electrical systems related to garage door openers or security features is preferred
