Job summary

MACOM is seeking an intern to assist with GaN-on-SiC transistor characterization and modeling. You will measure devices, extract linear and nonlinear models, and validate results while collaborating with experienced engineers.

During the 12-week program you will gain hands-on experience, receive supervision, and present at a poster session detailing your project successes and learnings. Salary offered as hourly pay.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
  • Some experience analyzing technical data using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
  • Ability to work with data, troubleshoot problems, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Interest in GaN devices, transistor modeling, and circuit simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Characterize GaN-on-SiC transistors through measurements and data collection.
  • Extract linear and nonlinear transistor models and validate results.
  • Prepare model validation reports with limitations and recommendations.
  • Integrate models into PDks and develop scripts for data processing.
