12-hour Rotating Shift
Note: Due to growth at the GT site and ramping up multiple Manufacturing departments, it is vital to focus on training newer employees and maintaining existing area expertise. No GT Manufacturing production employees are eligible to bid for this position at this time.
The IGIV-C Technician is responsible for the isolation of IgG by processing plasma intermediate paste and performing fundamental tasks within a GMP environment, including cleaning and maintaining the workplace, assembling/disassembling equipment, assisting with process control, and maintaining records.
Includes buffer preparation, zone activities, sterile processing, and purification processing tasks, such as preparing solutions, calibrating probes, testing filters, and assisting in column and UF/DF processing.
Basic math and computer skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, teamwork, and good judgment.
High School Diploma; Bioworks Certification preferred.
Must lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk continuously, work rotating shifts, and be vaccinated for hepatitis B. Work involves exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, machinery, noise, dust, cold, confined spaces, heights, and requires PPE. The role involves standing, walking, bending, and manual dexterity for 6-8 hours/day, with frequent sitting and movement of hands.
