Shift:

12-hour Rotating Shift (days to nights)

Note:

Due to growth at the GT site and ramping up multiple Manufacturing departments, it is vital that we focus on training newer employees and maintaining existing area expertise. No GT Manufacturing production employees are eligible to bid for this position at this time.

Summary:

The IGIV-C Technician is responsible for the isolation of IgG by processing plasma intermediate paste and performing fundamental tasks within a GMP environment, including cleaning and maintaining the workplace, assembling/disassembling operating equipment per procedures, assisting with process control manipulations, and maintaining records/logs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform general housekeeping adhering to pharmaceutical standards.
  2. Assist in preparing solutions and dispense cleaning reagents.
  3. Safeguard facilities, equipment, product, and co-workers.
  4. Assemble/disassemble production equipment.
  5. Operate production equipment such as filters, vessels, skids, columns.
  6. Operate fork truck safely.
  7. Operate CIP circuits.
  8. Monitor and control processes using DCS.
  9. Document during production and maintain records.
  10. Perform integrity tests on sterile filters.
Additional Responsibilities:

Includes buffer prep, zone activities, sterile processing, and purification processing tasks, requiring knowledge of GMP, equipment handling, and process monitoring. Skills needed include basic math, computer skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, teamwork, and good judgment.

Requirements:

High School Diploma; Bioworks Certification preferred. Basic math, computer skills, mechanical aptitude, detail orientation, teamwork, and judgment.

Tech II Responsibilities:
  1. Perform all Tech I duties.
  2. Conduct GMP and safety audits.
  3. Operate and troubleshoot production equipment.
  4. Assist in loading, testing, and packing chromatography columns and UF/DF systems.
Occupational Demands:

Must lift up to 50 lbs, work in rotating shifts, and be vaccinated for hepatitis B. Work environment involves biological, chemical, electrical hazards, noise, cold, confined spaces, heights, and require PPE. Standing, walking, bending, and manual dexterity are essential.
