Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club in North Lauderdale, FL is seeking a part-time Game Room Assistant to plan and run engaging activities for Members. You will lead a weekly game room program, orient new Members, promote events, and help maintain a positive, safe atmosphere.

Responsibilities include organizing activities, enforcing club rules, attending staff meetings, keeping equipment in good repair, and assisting with club events as needed. This role requires high energy and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Must plan a weekly game room program with written plans due every Monday.
• Organize and conduct the game room program.
• Orientate new members to the game room.
• Promote game room activities and encourage participation by all Members.
• Enforce Boys & Girls Club activities and events as assigned including performing membership clerk duties if assigned.
• Participate in Staff Meetings and Conferences.
• Keep all equipment in good repair and ready for play.
• Keep area clean and in order.
• Assist with other Boys & Girls Club activities and events as assigned including performing membership clerk duties if assigned.

GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Game Room Assistant is responsible for planning and conducting a varied and exciting program, giving informal guidance to members and maintaining a good atmosphere in the Gamesroom.

KNOW HOW:

Must have the ability to plan and know how to conduct games and activities. Must be able to enforce Boys & Girls Club Rules and Policies in a fair and equitable manner.

A game room program with high energy and activity level that is highly patronized by the Members. A room atmosphere that is positive and inviting to all members.
