Job summary

Game Nerdz in Richardson, TX is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join a team of 35+ in a 55,000+ sq ft facility. The role includes packing, unloading/loading shipments, putaway, inventory checks, receiving, and shipping while maintaining safety and organized housekeeping.

You will operate basic warehouse equipment, count inventory, and work in a fast-paced environment. Typical Monday–Friday day shift; full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• At least 6 months warehouse experience preferred.
• PIT equipment operation preferred (stand-up reach, pallet jack, etc.).
• Warehouse Management System experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select the appropriate box size and package orders per policy.
• Organize and package customer orders efficiently.
• Handle unloading/loading of shipments and ensure safe handling.
• Putaway items to Home/Bulk locations and manage inventory flow.
• Receive, pick, and ship items according to PO numbers and procedures.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety per policy.
• Assist with counting inventory and reconciling discrepancies.

Game Nerdz is a retailer of games, accessories, and FUN and we are looking to add to our team-oriented family! We are looking for a Warehouse Associate to join a team of 35+ employees in our new 55,000+ sq. ft warehouse.

Minimum Experience

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• At least 6 months of warehouse environment experience is preferred.
• Proficient in the operation of Powered Industrial Trucks such as stand-up reach trucks or other industrial equipment (i.e., pallet jack) preferred.
• Warehouse Management System experience preferred.

Packing

Primary Responsibilities will include some combination of the following:

• Selecting appropriate box size for content and following company policy on packaging methods.
• Organizing and packaging customer orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Our customers value our thorough and protective packaging method, so this is an important role!

Unloading & Loading Of Shipments

• Uses various powered industrial equipment to perform the following:
• Unload inbound shipments and move product to staging area to be received in.
• Inspect, count, and examine all shipments being unloaded against PO\'s for damages and/or discrepancies.
• Document all overages, shortages, and damages.
• Ensure that all necessary signatures are on the driver\'s paperwork before the driver is released.
• Wrap pallets by machine or hand to ensure stability.Load outbound shipments in a way so that they are stable to ensure safety and avoid product being damaged.

Putaway

• Conveying of items from the Receiving area or Staging area to various areas of the warehouse such as Home, Overflow or Bulk locations.

Replenishment, Item Demand, Inventory, Count Checks and Consolidation of items in the warehouse

• Convey items from storage locations to Home/Bulk locations.
• Consolidate like items in storage locations to maximize warehouse space.
• Count inventory to make sure product quantities are correct in the locations.

Receiving, Picking And Shipping Of Warehouse Items

• Receive in product in accordance with associated PO numbers and company policy.
• Complete discrepancy forms for any overages, shortages or damages.
• Break down & separate product by specific item numbers.
• Select various orders within the warehouse.
• Stack product on pallets to be conveyed to the outbound staging area.
• Check pallets brought to the staging area for errors.
• Adjust pallet quantities from one pallet to another to ensure even weight distribution on the pallets.

Warehouse Housekeeping And Safety

• Clean dock areas & all assigned aisles in accordance with warehouse policy.
• Comply with all Safety regulations and standards.

Physical Demands & Work Experience

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee moves different package sizes and weights and is regularly required to walk, stand, sit and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, office and warehouse equipment, and RF devices to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. The employee is required to lift up to 50 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• This position will primarily work in a warehouse environment and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, cold or elevated ambient temperature, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate and the environment fast paced.
• This position may require evening, weekend or other shift work depending on business needs.

In addition to the duties listed above, all applicants should note that due to the nature of the business, there may be other tasks required of employees in order to ensure smooth operations.
