We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team of 35+ employees in our new 55,000+ sq. ft warehouse.
Desired Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in warehousing and distribution facilities.
- At least 5 years in a management role overseeing direct reports.
- Strong leadership skills to organize, schedule, and lead teams to achieve quality and productivity goals.
- Experience with warehouse systems management, inventory control, and shipping efficiency.
- Proven ability to manage daily warehouse operations and support team development.
- Ambitious work ethic with a focus on engaging others in the larger goals.
- Excellent training, presentation, and safety communication skills.
- Data-driven mindset with analytical and quantitative skills to support strategic initiatives.
- Advanced skills in Google Suite, especially Sheets & Docs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse and shipping operations for an online retailer.
- Manage daily activities, communicate goals, and develop team members.
- Ensure safety and continuous improvement in operations.
- Lead and support supervisors and teams, identifying opportunities for efficiency.
- Standardize KPIs, training, and leadership procedures; perform regular productivity assessments.
- Facilitate communication between upper management and warehouse staff, collaborating cross-functionally.
- Develop internal programs including budgeting, workflow, scheduling, and reporting.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, scheduling, and quality control.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives, improve inventory control, and streamline processes.
- Assign tasks to warehouse associates, ensuring productivity, accuracy, safety, and customer service.
- Maintain and report on equipment issues.
- Coordinate daily scheduling with warehouse supervisors and train staff on processes.
- Lead shift meetings and communicate updates effectively.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pickers.
- Remain calm and effective in stressful or emergency situations.
- Lead implementation of technical systems like WMS, ERP, and conveyor systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and vision.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment, ensuring OSHA compliance and addressing work-related injuries.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Move, walk, stand, sit, and operate equipment, including RF devices.
- Reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb as needed.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with moving up to 100 pounds.
- Work primarily in a warehouse environment, exposed to various conditions including noise, weather, and mechanical parts.
- May require evening or weekend hours based on business needs.
