• Scorekeeping: maintain the official scorebook accurately.
• Public Address Announcing: provide clear, professional announcements.
• Referee Escort: escort officials and manage required forms.
• Custodial Notification: report hazards and safety concerns.
• Crowd Control Support: escalate inappropriate spectator behavior.
• Football Chain Crew: fulfill chain and yardage responsibilities.

# Game DutyConfluence Preparatory Academy - Saint Louis, MO 63103## OverviewPosition TypeSeasonal## Description**Game Duty - High School Athletics**Position Summary: The Game Duty worker supports Confluence Academies' high school athletic program by ensuring safe, organized, and efficient game-day operations. This position assists with event logistics before, during, and after athletic contests held at on-site or off-site facilities. Game Duty workers help maintain a positive environment for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators while modeling professionalism and sports-like behavior. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**Game Duty workers may be assigned one or more of the following responsibilities:* Gate Fee Collection - Collect admission fees and manage entry flow into the event.* Door Monitoring - Monitor designated entry points to ensure appropriate access.* Concession Stand Oversight - Supervise student workers/volunteers, ensure timely service, restock items as needed.* Game Clock Operation - Operate the running clock at the discretion of referees or game officials.* Scorekeeping - Maintain the official scorebook accurately.* Public Address Announcing - Provide clear, professional announcements during varsity contests.* Referee Escort - Provide locker room access, escort officials at halftime and post-game, and collect required forms.* Custodial Notification - Report hazards, safety concerns, or sanitation issues in event areas.* Crowd Control Support - Alert the administrator on duty to inappropriate spectator or athletic behavior.* Football Chain Crew - Fulfill chain and yardage responsibilities for football contests.* Statistician Duties - Record and maintain game statistics as assigned.* Other Duties - Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the building athletic director.## Qualifications**Qualifications*** Ability to communicate clearly and professionally withs students, staff, officials, and spectators.* Ability to follow directions from athletic administrators and game officials.* Reliability and punctuality for scheduled contests.* Basic operational knowledge of scoreboards, clocks, or willingness to be trained.* Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.**Working Conditions & Physical Requirements**Candidates must be able to:* Stand for extended periods of time.* Walk long distances at off-site facilities.* Lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height.* Bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead as needed.* Hear and understand speech in noisy environments.* Speak clearly for communication or public address announcing.* Operate equipment such as clocks, scorebooks, and communication devices.**Reports to:** Principal/Athletic and Activities Director**Position Type:** Seasonal, part-time; hours vary based on athletic schedule.
