Job summary

RCX Sports is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Game Day Assistant to support youth sports events across NFL FLAG, NHL STREET, MLS GO, and NBA/Jr. Leagues. You’ll help with setup, field operations, and customer interactions on weekends and select weekdays.

You will work with coaches, officials, and staff, attend weekly meetings, and earn starting at $18/hour with potential increases to $25/hour based on performance. Training provided; prior sports experience not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Customer service oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Enthusiastic approach and a passion for youth sports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support game day operations across multiple youth programs throughout the year.

• Establish relationships with coaches and officials and fill in as a coach or official as needed.
• Prepare official’s scorecards, sell mouth guards, and meet customers at the field.
• Communicate with supervisor weekly and attend Game Day Rep meetings; submit Weekend League Review with scores and events.
• Communicate with supervisor during the day via phone with internet access.
• Respectfully resolve conflicts and address customer questions.
• Attend coaches’ meetings and staff trainings weekly.

What you’ll do

• Support sport-specific game day operations including set-up and break down of league booths and fields/courts, and handle game situations involving coaches, players, parents/guardians, and officials


• Establish relationships with coaches and officials, and fill in as a coach or official as needed


• Prepare official’s scorecards, sell mouth guards, and meet and greet customers at the field


• Communicate with supervisor throughout week, attend weekly Game Day Rep meetings at night and submit Weekend League Review (scores, events of the day, etc.)


• Communicate with supervisor throughout day via phone with internet access


• Respectfully resolve conflicts and address concerns and questions from customers appropriately


• Regularly attend coaches’ meetings, staff trainings, weekly meetings with supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)


• Must be 18 years of age or older


• Customer service-oriented


• Problem-solving skills and conflict resolution experience


• Enthusiastic approach and a passion for youth sports

More about the role

• Work Schedule: Varies by sport/program and season; typically weekends and/or select weekdays during the duration of each season; schedule will be confirmed during the interview process


• Compensation: Starting hourly rate: $18/hour. Eligible for an annual increase amount of $1/hour up to $25/hour


• Opportunity to return for following league season and earn seasonal pay increases with good performance


• Training provided by RCX Sports, no prior sports industry experience required
