Job summary

Hirebridge in Philadelphia is seeking a Game Day Communications Staff to support the communications department with media-related activities and provide hands-on PR experience during home games.

You will help plan game-day operations, coordinate seating and media notes, support postgame press conferences, and assist with media guides and transcripts in a fast-paced arena environment.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate professionalism and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong typing skills for transcription of press conferences and interviews.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Must be able to work all home games including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Learn to plan and execute game-day activities, including production and distribution of press credentials and coordination of press meals.
• Coordinate setup and breakdown of media seating, media room, and PR materials to ensure a seamless game day.
• Ensure timely distribution of game notes to TV and radio members ahead of tip-off.
• Print and distribute real-time statistical reports to home and visiting teams and the score table at designated game times.
• Complete opponent research and connection summaries for future matchups.
• Support media members by addressing questions and ensuring effective communication.
• Provide support on the 76ers media guide, including player biographies and career-high charts.
• Help keep storage areas and the media room organized before, during, and after each game.
• Perform all other objectives, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Game Day Communications Staff will assist the communications department with all media-related activities. This position will give hands‑on experience in many facets of the public relations field.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:

• Learn to plan and execute game‑day activities, including production and distribution of press credentials, coordination of appropriate sign‑in for press meals, assistance with press area operations during games, and the recording and transcribing of postgame press conferences
• Coordinate the setup and breakdown of media seating, media room, and any PR related materials to ensure a seamless game day
• Ensure timely distribution of game notes to TV and radio members ahead of tip‑off
• Print and distribute real‑time statistical reports to home and visiting teams, and the score table at designated game times
• Complete opponent research and connection summaries, which will be used in game notes for future matchups
• Support media members by addressing questions and concerns while ensuring effective communication
• Provide support on the 76ers media guide, including player biographies and career‑high charts
• Help keep storage areas and the media room organized before, during, and after each game

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work Environment: This position requires that work be performed from the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, PA. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed based on game schedule.
• Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to move for an entire shift (approximately 10-12 hours)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The pay rate for this position at commencement of employment is $15.92/hour. This position is eligible for overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
