Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create eye-catching 2D/3D animations, visual effects, and motion graphics for game logos, symbols, backgrounds, promotional videos, and features.
• Prepare previsualizations of VFX and animations for integration with game engines.
• Collaborate with software engineers and development teams in iterative processes for final assets.
• Maintain organized working files and archive final assets using version control.
• Troubleshoot graphics performance (rendering, memory, playback) across platforms.

Work with a group of exceptionally talented artists and animators creating animations that complement and enhance the Table Game player’s experience. The ability to work quickly and efficiently as part of a team, take direction, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure is crucial. **Essential Job Functions:** * Work with studio leadership and artists to conceptualize and create compelling 2D/3D animations, visual effects, and motion graphics for game logos, symbols, backgrounds, promotional videos, and features.* Create previsualizations of VFX and animations.* Work closely with the software engineer and development teams to prepare final animations in formats necessary for game integration.* Communicate with the game designer and development team in an iterative development process.* Maintain well-organized working files to facilitate file sharing and collaborative work.* Archive all final working files for future use using version control software.* Understand and resolve technical issues relating to graphics (e.g., rendering, streaming, memory management, playback performance, etc.).# Qualifications**Training and/or Experience** * 3+ years of professional experience in 2D/3D animation and/or motion graphic design- exceptions are made with a high caliber portfolio and eloquence that demonstrates knowledge and maturity* Prior gaming industry experience is preferred but not required.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** * Enjoy working in a creative environment* Have a strong sense of design, motion, and timing* Have a strong sense of storyboarding for 2D/3D animation* Ability to work well with others in a team environment* Interact and collaborate with immediate team, as well as junior and senior colleagues* Ability to receive art direction and provide multiple design solutions* Ability to adapt to new technologies* Proficient in Adobe After Effects , Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator* Proficiency in 3D animation and modeling is a plus (Blender or Cinema 4D)* Proficiency in compositing and rotoscoping a plus* Familiarity with Unity a plus (especially implementing animation and VFX as well as creating VFX in unity)* Ability to draw and concept character, props, environment a plus* Familiarity with shaders and shader creation/coding a plus **Education:** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. **Physical Requirements:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
