Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Galvanizing Supervisor to oversee the galvanizing staff and ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and on time. The role requires hands-on leadership in a manufacturing environment with early First Shift and Second Shift schedules.

Responsibilities include supervising the hot dip galvanizing process, operating equipment, and ensuring tanks and acids are maintained at proper levels and temperatures. Prior galvanizing management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Certified to operate forklifts and cranes.
• 3 years of production or manufacturing supervision.
• Previous galvanizing management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise galvanizing staff and ensure daily tasks are completed on time.
• Oversee surface prep, galvanizing, and post-treatment steps.
• Operate equipment, forklift, and overhead crane as required.
• Monitor equipment, tanks, acid levels, and temperatures.
• Understand product codes and quality requirements.

Job Title: Galvanizing Supervisor

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 (plus 5% potential bonus)

Location:

Industry: Steelwork

The Position:

Supervise the galvanizing staff and ensure that all team's daily tasks are completed accurately and on time. Shift schedules are as follows: First Shift 5 am-3:30 pm/Second Shift 2:30 pm-1 am Monday-Thursday with Fridays or Saturdays depending on production requirements.

Our client is a market leader in the galvanizing sector of North America, providing products and services to road construction, engineering, and steelwork companies.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an expert in the three main steps of the hot dip galvanizing process, surface preparation, galvanizing, and post-treatment.
• Operate equipment and tools to aid manufacturing, forklift, and overhead crane.
• Ensure all equipment & tanks are always operating properly (acid levels, temperatures, etc.).
• Supervise a small group of 1st & 2nd Shift employees.
• Understand product codes and quality requirements for each product.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience and certified to operate forklifts and cranes.
• 3 years of production and/or manufacturing supervision.
• Previous galvanizing management experience is preferred.
