This hands-on leadership role supervises first- and second-shift teams while ensuring safety, quality and production targets are met. The successful candidate will maximise process efficiency, maintain equipment and coordinate daily workloads, reporting to the operations manager.

Qualifications

• At least three years of operational and supervisory experience within manufacturing.
• Galvanizing experience strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of safety and quality procedures.
• Experience leading, motivating and developing production employees.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled industrial facility.
• Able to operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Dependable, hands-on and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a small team of first- and second-shift employees

• Ensure tanks and equipment are operating correctly, including acid levels and temperatures
• Adjust processes and production schedules to meet manufacturing targets
• Complete required production paperwork, inspections and quality documentation
• Understand product codes and product-quality requirements
• Operate forklifts, cranes, hand tools and other manufacturing equipment when required
• Identify production problems and implement practical solutions
• Support occasional weekend working when required
