Job summary

Staffworks in New York is seeking a reliable General Laborer to join the galvanizing team. The role is hands-on, working with galvanized materials, operating tools and equipment, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading with overhead crane, cutting with wire cutters, inspecting tags for quality level (A/AA/DBL), and finishing with files or grinders to specs. Schedule: 3:30pm–2:00am Thu–Sat; Wage: $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to use wire cutters, hand tools, power tools such as grinders and overhead crane.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Follows written and verbal instructions with accuracy and reliability.
• Maintains a safety-focused mindset and works well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload galvanized materials using an overhead crane.
• Use wire cutters to cut galvanized materials onto work horses.
• Review tags attached to materials to determine the required quality level (A, AA, or DBL).
• Finish materials using files or grinders with sanding disks to meet quality specifications.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and timelines.
