Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Gallery Host/Front Desk to warmly greet guests and assist with inquiries at the property. You will check in/out guests, handle payments, and provide information to guests and vendors to ensure an exceptional experience.

The role requires strong guest service skills, clear communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Training and team-oriented environment offered with employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out hotel guests.
• Process payments according to hotel procedures.
• Provide information and assistance to guests and vendors.
• Prepare shift reports for management.
• Maintain cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables controls.
• Prepare, stock, and present food and beverages per standards.
• Ensure gallery is well-stocked and assist with orders as needed.
• Prepare and plate menu items; clean work areas after shifts.
• Verify IDs and monitor beverage consumption for safety.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a guest-focused, friendly, outgoing individual to greet and assist guests as our Gallery Host/Front Desk.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Check-in/Check-out hotel guests


• Process all payments according to established hotel requirements


• Provide information and assistance to all guests and vendors


• Prepares all necessary reports during each shift for the management team


• Follow financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables


• Prepare, set up, stock, take down, clean, and provide quality beverages and food products, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards


• Ensure gallery remains well-stocked at all times Receiving food and beverage orders as needed


• Prepare and plate all food items on the menu


• Cleaning and sanitizing countertops and floors after each shift


• Validate customers' IDs and monitor all beverage consumption in order to avoid severe intoxication

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to use hot food preparation machines such as, but not limited to, oven, stove, and microwave to cook or heat food items


• Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment


• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement


• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary


• Ability to work well in stressful situations


• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
