Job summary

RWS is seeking contributors for a Galician speech data collection project to support evaluation and development of next-generation AI technologies. This freelance, remote role offers flexible, task-based work with an estimated 2–4 hours per day and immediate start.

You will record spontaneous speech, annotate data, and provide relevant metadata, contributing to ASR and conversational AI research. Payments are issued on a timely basis for approved tasks.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Galician.
• Authentic pronunciation and strong familiarity with the target language through everyday use.
• Advanced level of English to understand written instructions.
• Contributors must not imitate dialects or accents that are not their own.
• Experience with speech recording or data annotation projects is an advantage, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail when providing annotations and recording metadata.
• Ability to follow detailed project and recording instructions.

Responsibilities

• Record or collect natural, spontaneous speech in accordance with the project guidelines.
• Participate in or capture speech from approved real-life situations, such as workplace conversations or casual one-on-one discussions.
• Complete individual or two-person conversational speech tasks, or participate in voice or voice-text interactions with an AI or machine-based system.
• Annotate collected speech data according to the instructions provided.
• Provide the required information and metadata related to each recording.
