Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

DuPont is currently hiring an experienced Gage Calibration Technician to join our site in Valley View, OH.

The Gage Calibration Technician is responsible for administering and maintaining the gage calibration program to ensure compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, and internal quality management system procedures.

Performs calibration of assigned gages and measuring equipment, issues gages to employees, maintains calibration records, and ensures equipment remains accurate, identified, and available for use. Coordinates calibration activities for inspection, test, and monitoring equipment, including obtaining calibration quotes, evaluating service providers, and managing calibration service contracts. Oversees calibration schedules, out-of-tolerance investigations, and corrective actions as required. Works with internal stakeholders and external calibration providers to maintain continuous compliance, support audits, and ensure the effectiveness of the gage calibration program.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the site gage calibration program to ensure compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and internal QMS procedures.
• Perform calibration of measuring and test equipment in accordance with documented procedures and maintain accurate calibration records.
• Issue, track, recall, and maintain accountability of gages and measuring equipment throughout the facility.
• Execute and maintain the gage recall system, ensuring timely calibration and minimizing overdue equipment.
• Obtain calibration service quotes, evaluate calibration suppliers, and coordinate external calibration activities.
• Manage calibration service contracts and supplier relationships to ensure adequate support, capability, and compliance.
• Review calibration histories and recommend calibration interval adjustments based on equipment performance and risk.
• Investigate out-of-tolerance conditions and support root cause analysis and corrective actions when required.
• Conduct and support Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) studies, as well as evaluations for bias, linearity, and measurement system capability.
• Develop, review, and maintain calibration procedures, work instructions, methods, and associated records.
• Generate and report calibration program metrics, including compliance status, overdue equipment, and program effectiveness.
• Support manufacturing and engineering teams with metrology expertise to improve processes, resolve measurement-related issues, and ensure equipment suitability.
• Support internal audits, customer audits, AS9100 certification audits, and NADCAP assessments related to calibration and metrology activities.
• Maintain inspector qualifications and perform inspection activities as required to support site operations.
• Train and mentor employees on gage handling, calibration requirements, metrology practices, and measurement system best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to calibration, metrology, measurement systems, and equipment control processes.

Job Qualifications Profile

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of calibration or metrology experience supporting manufacturing in an ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 environment.
• Experience performing gage and equipment calibrations and maintaining calibration records.
• Experience with software-driven gage recall systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, customer requirements, and test reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Preferred:

• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or similar certification.
• Experience obtaining calibration service quotations and coordinating external calibration suppliers.
• Experience managing calibration service contracts, supplier agreements, and vendor performance.
• Three (3) or more years of experience coordinating or managing a site gage calibration program.
